Knocked-Out Tooth
A permanent tooth knocked out can often be saved if treated within 30–60 minutes. Handle by the crown only, not the root.
Jaw Fracture
Suspected broken jaw from an accident or fall. Avoid moving the jaw; stabilize with a cloth and call immediately.
Severe Facial Trauma
Significant cuts, fractures, or injuries to the face, cheeks, eye socket, or nose following an accident or sports injury.
Dental Abscess
Severe, throbbing tooth pain with swelling, fever, or spreading swelling to your neck or floor of mouth.
Broken Tooth / Root
A tooth that has fractured below the gum line, especially if causing pain or sharp edges that lacerate soft tissue.
Dry Socket
Worsening jaw pain 3–5 days after a tooth extraction, particularly if the initial pain had improved before worsening.
If a Tooth is Knocked Out
- 1.Pick up the tooth by the crown (white part). Do not touch the root.
- 2.If dirty, rinse gently with clean water — do not scrub or use soap.
- 3.Try to reinsert it into the socket and bite gently on a cloth to hold it.
- 4.If unable to reinsert, store in milk or keep between your cheek and gum.
- 5.Call us immediately at (317) 876-1095. Time is critical.
