Dr. Denise Flanagan, DDS

Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

Dr. Denise Flanagan is an experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with more than 25 years of clinical experience, recognized for her surgical expertise, commitment to patient-centered care, and distinguished academic accomplishments. She is notably the first female to complete the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at the Indiana University Medical Center. A graduate of the Indiana University School of Dentistry and the IU Medical Center OMS Residency, Dr. Flanagan has earned numerous honors — including awards from the International College of Dentists, Quintessence Publishing, and the American Academy of Oral Medicine — and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society. Her academic background includes NIH-sponsored research and national presentations on dental materials and antimicrobial science. She is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Flanagan founded Oral Surgeons of Indiana in 1998 and continues to provide comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgical services to patients across the community. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending quality time with her two young adult children.
