Dr. Michael Wirey was born and raised in Indiana, growing up in Greenwood and attending Center Grove High School. He joined the practice in 2025. He went on to study at Indiana University Bloomington, where he graduated with highest distinction and completed multiple degrees within four years. He then earned his dental degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry. Following dental school, Dr. Wirey completed advanced anesthesia training through the Dental Anesthesia Fellowship at the Indiana University School of Medicine, Department of Anesthesia. He then continued his surgical training at West Virginia University, completing an internship and residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery — encompassing the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including extensive experience in dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant reconstruction, and anesthesia and sedation techniques for outpatient procedures. He is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and an active member of the Indiana Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ISOMS). The were able to get me in quickly for my wisdom teeth removal. From the moment I arrived, the office felt so welcoming and had more of a family atmosphere. Had all four wisdom teeth surgically extracted with Dr. Wirey, and he and his team did an excellent job. Everything from the IV to anesthesia went smoothly. The process was painless, and recovery was very smooth. Numbing lasted about 2–3 days, and I barely experienced any pain after surgery. I followed his advice to extract all four at once and don’t regret it at all. Just follow the recovery instructions at home and everything should be a breeze! I was referred by a friend and heard great things about the other dentists as well. I highly recommend!
